Tech had 38 fouls (6 yellow cards to UNC's 1) to UNC's 14. Tech lead in turnovers 17-12. UNC lead in shots 44-17. If we didn't have Meaghan Graham at goal, we would have lost by more. Meaghan was busy all day.

That was UNC's 17th straight ACC win. Their defense caused us problems from the start. They disrupted our offensive flow. Our transition was poor at times. Too many turnovers and fouls but most of that was due to UNC's defense and athleticism. I noticed that UNC recruits athletes. Team is loaded with players who lettered in2-3 sports in high school. UNC's All-ACC goalie's father is a Tech graduate. 2 of UNC's starters are from NOVA.

I honestly didn't expect to win this game today. UNC is loaded with high school All-Americans and has lots of experience. They are the defending national champions. I hope the team learns from this game. There won't be a tougher opponent to play for the rest of the season. Syracuse is an excellent team too. I don't expect a win up there. Notre Dame is good too but they have their flaws, so does Louisville and UVA. Getting 2 more ACC wins will be a challenge but it's still possible if they can bounce back from this loss today.
